What to Wear for Bastille Day

Ah, Bastille Day. A day in which the French (and people who believe themselves to be) celebrate the historic storming of the Bastille, which was one of the defining moments of the French Revolution. So, to put it simply, it is the Frenchman’s Independence Day. Whether you are celebrating in Paris, Philadelphia, or Portland, there are many ways to acknowledge the significance of the day and dress for the occasion. For Bastille Day (which is a big celebration for my French family), I typically wear a white eyelet dress with a red belt and necklace, and navy blue heels with a matching bracelet or clutch. Bastille Day, being a French holiday, calls for chic fashion and sophisticated style. Below I have included examples of outfits and accessories to make you both festive and chic for Bastille Day.

What do you think of the photos? Do you celebrate Bastille Day? And, if so, where in the world do you celebrate?
