Would you be willing to wear a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind wedding dress…in red? That’s right, on the bridal runways for 2013, red was the must-have color and style for wedding dresses. This trend was apparent on the runways of Oscar de la Renta and Vera Wang, the two powerhouses in the bridal-fashion world. Continuing, red was not the only non-white option available for 2013, but so was blue, pink, and black. These colors are not for the faint-of-heart nor those who want a traditional dress (even though the basic designs of most of the dresses are fairly common in the bridal industry), but if you want a unique dress that will be talked about and remembered for years, then this might be a trend for you to consider. Below I have included an example of a red wedding dress– as you can see, besides the color and some detailing of the chiffon in the skirt and left corner of the neckline, the dress has a common structure and basic styling to allow the color to stand out.
What do you think of this trend? Would you be willing to wear a red (or blue, pink, black, etc) wedding dress or would you stick with a traditional shade of white?
